Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022

The Common University Entrance Test or CUET is held to select students for admission to undergraduate programmes at colleges under central universities, including the University of Delhi, JNU, JMI, EFLU, and the University of Allahabad. CUET was introduced in 2010, however, only 12 central universities have been participating so far in conducting admissions through the exam. Since 2022, 45 central universities will mandate the exam for admission to their respective UG programmes.

The Common University Entrance Test or CUET is conducted by the National Testing Agency and is also known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test or CUCET. There are three sections in the exam, language skills, knowledge of core subjects, and general knowledge.

Some boards are more generous with the marks they give to learners than others. With merit-based admissions, one cannot determine whether the deserving students have secured seats. The reason for conducting CUET is to judge learners seeking admission to UG programmes on the same parameters and provide equal opportunity to them.

The application form for CUET was released on 6th April 2022, and the last date to apply is 6th May 2022. You can apply for CUET at https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/

Common University Entrance Test (CUET)

Conducted by the National Testing Agency, the CUET exam has been designed to centralize the process for admissions to UG programmes at central universities. It provides equal opportunity to all learners by setting up the same parameters to test their knowledge.

CUET or Common University Entrance Test was introduced in 2010. However, until 2022 only 12 central universities held admissions through the exam. From 2022, 45 central universities will be conducting admissions through CUET. The examination has been divided into four sections: Section IA, IB, II, and III to adapt to the admissions for different types of courses. Section IA has 13 languages, section IB has 20 languages, section II has 27 domain subjects, and section III is a general test. Students can select a maximum number of 9 papers. The combination of papers selected by the students will depend upon the university requirements for the intended UG course.

Also known as CUCET or Central Universities Common Entrance Test, the exam will be a computer-based test. It will be conducted in 547 cities within India and 13 cities abroad. The online application form for CUET was released on the CUET website on 6th April 2022. The last date to apply for the exam is 6th May 2022 (Upto 5 pm).

ALLEN ACE CUET Preparation Course

CUET is an essential examination for 12th students, as their admission to central universities will now be dependent on their CUET score and not their board results. CUET is conducted as an objective type paper, unlike most board exams. This means that the learners will have to prepare for both subjective and objective patterns during their 12th. Moreover, CUET also includes a General knowledge section that tests the learner’s knowledge of current affairs, mental ability, numerical ability, quantitative reasoning, and legal and analytical reasoning.

The ALLEN ACE CUET preparation course strengthens students’ knowledge of core subjects while enhancing their language skills and general knowledge. It prepares them for the MCQ pattern of the examination through consistent practice in the classroom and at home. The course includes notes, daily practice papers, monthly GK magazines, doubt counters, and periodic tests to cover all aspects of the learner’s preparation.
